Use this guide when you want to set up specific controller profiles for specific games. This can be useful for certain games like Captain Toad Treasure Tracker where a blue dot appears in the middle of the screen when you have docked mode enabled, but not handheld mode.

Before You Begin

This guide will will try to explain things as clearly as possible, but make some assumptions about your environment and your familiarity with the operating system. Most notably, that you are familiar with the basic operations of your PC (how to download files, how to extract them, etc.

WARNING: These guides assume that you already have the necessary files (firmware, keys, games, etc.) to run the emulator. Neither the Eden Team nor Their Discord will assist you in obtaining these files. Asking for these files on the Discord may result in a ban from the server without support or chance to appeal.

Pre-Requisites

• Eden Emulator set up and fully configured
• Controller Profile Created
  • See Configuring Controller Profiles for instructions on how to do this if needed.

Steps

1. Right-Click the game you want to apply the profile to in the main window and select Properties. For this guide we will be applying the handheld profile we created to Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker.

   

2. Navigate to the Input Profiles tab in the window that appears. Drop down on Player 1 profile (or whatever player profile you want to apply it to) and select the profile you want. Here I select the Handheld Mode profile.

1. Click OK to apply the profile mapping.
2. Launch the game and confirm that the profile is applied, regardless of what the global configuration is. For Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker, you can see that it no longer has the blue dot in the middle, meaning our profile was applied successfully.
